Mie Godhog APJAY (Apotik Jaya)

APJAY is an accidental name for this noodle hawker shop. APJAY stands for Apotik Jaya that means Jaya drugstore.This noodle hawker stall is located in the parking space close to this drugstore (chemist/"apotek").This is the history behind APJAY name to this noodle hawker stall.

Mie Godhog is a traditional Javanese style food that means boiled noodle soup. In APJAY, this mie godhog is cooked traditionally by using charcoal stove. The charcoal stove produces different heat and smell that made this food becomes unique and special. Not only mie godhog, all of the foods are cooked with this charcoal stove. Another secret recipe of this hawker stall is the chicken stock and meat. This stall only use free range chicken (ayam kampung) that produce more taste and healthy nutrition to the food.

Every food offers in this stall are cooked carefully with special care and sufficient heat to the wok. Charcoal is blew by electric fan to make sure enough heat to the food.

Beside of Mie Godhog, this stall also offers several type of Nasi Goreng (fried rice). One of the most favourite is Nasi Goreng Kebuli. Nasi Goreng Kebuli is different from other nasi goreng because of it herbs taste.

There are two locations of this stall in Panglima Polim street and Cipete Raya. Eat mie godhog with white pepper taste hot and spicy in our throat. Moreover, try hot Wedang Uwuh to accompany your meal. Wedang Uwuh is made from various aromatic leaves that could cure some sickness such as flu and sorethroat.

Hok Cia! means tasty in Hokkien dialect. That word is a suitable opening word to describe the taste of this Singaporean style noodle soup. The soup taste fully consists of shrimp taste. Fresh boiled prawn with couple of shrimp ball are served with well cooked hokkien style noodle. Another good choices is Mie Terasi. Terasi comes from Indonesian traditional ingredients that is made from shrimp paste. For spicy lover, you can ask for more chilli or sambal to this Terasi fried noodle.

This is a small restaurant located in a residential area. No specific dress code is required to this restaurant as long as comfortable with the weather.
